
Chris Alvarado
is a Florida Native who is currently located in Santa Rosa Beach Florida. Coming from a family immersed in music, he was destined to pick up an instrument. At the age of 12 he was introduced to the acoustic guitar, and instantly fell in love. He tought himself to play guitar and was influenced by artists such as Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Jewel, and John Mayer. His music has evolved into a sound all its own. People have likened it to John Mayer, Jack Johnson, and Jason Mraz. A talented performer, his act includes covers form performers such as Bob Dylan, John Mayer, Fleetwood Mac, Lil Wayne, Radiohead, Hootie & the Blowfish, Outcast, Tom Petty, The Goo Goo Dolls, Al Green, Kansas, Billy Currington, Bob Seger, Van Morison and many more. In early 2011 he was invited to perform at the 30A Songwriter’s Festival, with other artists such as The Indigo Girls, Susanna Hoffs, Jeffrey Steele, and Sam Bush. He has shared the stage with Grammy Nominated artist and Songwriter, Suzi Ragsdale, as well as Emmy winner and Grammy Nominated Songwriter Greg Barnhill on several occasions. in 2011 he won the prestigious award of "Best Singer/Songwriter" on the Emerald Coast, at the 3rd annual Beachcomber Music Awards. He performs regularly at some of Northwest Florida's top venues such as: Harbor Docks, The Funky Blues Shack, Pompano Joe's, Rum Runners, The Shorty's In Grayton Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, AJ's, and more. His music has been featured on local radio station 30A radio 107.1 and was featured in the gulf coast's premier entertainment magazine, "The Beachcomber" in April 2010. Performing over 200 shows a year, you would be hard pressed to find a harder working musician on the Florida Panhandle.
